7 years ago Are you sure it is properly added and you have permissions to be in that channel (bitlbee-discord currently shows all channels including those you don't have permissions to join)? Is it showing up in chan list and you are using the name it lists? bitlbee-discord only throws this error if the channel is not added properly or if you are trying to join a voice channel.
I'd recommend trying readding the channel from scratch by id (i.e. chat add discord !1).
So I am new to discord and wanted to setup a way to use it through IRC. I compiled and installed the latest stable bitlebee and bitlbee-discord and setup bitlbee-discord according to the README. Now I believe I have set it up correctly because if I PM a user they get the message and we can communicate just fine, however any of the channels I try to connect say
#Projects: Error joining channel (check control channel?)any idea if this is a bug or a mistake on my part? There is no info in the control channel. Bitlbee shows no info related to when I run it in debug mode and try to connect to that channel. I already added it as described in the README before attempting to join.
