On local game, the local PC can't play #157

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a local game on PC1, and add one team (human).
2. Connect with PC2 to the local game and add four teams (human).
3. Begin the game with PC1.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
PC2 can play, but PC1 still on the previous screen. At least the begin button
("Comenzar" on Spanish) must retry.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
* Hedgewars: 0.9.15 (both PCs).
* PC1: Ubuntu 10.10.
* PC2: Windows 7.

(I've no screen capture at the moment).

Sounds like either you're trying to start 2 different local games or the engine
has trouble starting on PC1 side, but it's hard to tell because the shortness
of the explanation provided. Could you please elaborate more by adding any
error messages shown and attaching the game0.log generated at least on the
faulty side?

Spanish is ok for any of that.

1. PC1: Create a LAN game ("Red local").
2. PC1: Add a local human team.
3. PC2: Connect to PC1's LAN game.
4. PC2: Add 4 human teams to the LAN game.
5. PC1: Clicks the ready button.
6. PC2: Clicks the ready button.
7. PC1: Click the begin button ("Empezar").
8. PC2: Can play the game normally.
9. PC1: Remains on the previous screen (select teams, configure game, etc.).
The begin button ("Empezar") does nothing. If you try to change some config of
the game it say that a game is already runing.
10. When the team of PC1 must play, neither PC1 or PC2 can play.

When I search and found the log on PC1, I will post it.

This bug has been idling for almost a year waiting on logs.
At this point the gameserver has been extensively reworked, and I doubt the
logs will be found anyway.

AFAIK this functionality should work.
Please re-file a bug if you can in fact still reproduce it using the 0.9.16
game server.

Going to close "Invalid" because the interfaces/statuses for google issue
reporting suck compared to bugzilla.
