Hi, Tobias, Is it possible realize, to do something more, the hri-200 module to connect to the wires-x yaesu network? Regards

From what I have found by some internet searching, that HRI-200 module does not appear to be something you would easily integrate into a repeater network. If I were you I would not invest in this box until it is re-done properly. At a minimum, it should be standalone and have an ethernet connection to the network. That aside, what functionality would you expect? Do you mean an SvxLink controlled repeater would interface to the HRI-200, or that the entire HRI-200 would be replaced by some software?

The yaesu wires-x network want the hri-200 interface so we just have to use it like the echolink module.

Ok but on what side do you want to connect? You want to connect a Yaesu repeater with HRI-200 module to SvxLink, or you want to connect an SvxLink repeater to the wires-x network as if it were a Yaesu repeater with HRI-200? And do you want to use a HRI-200 with that or do you want to replace it by software? I think the first thing you will need to get your hands on is a detailed protocol specification of the wires-x network. All I have found so far is commercial stuff, not specifications. I wonder if it is open at all. Also before going on with projects like this you have to find out if this is welcomed in the wires-x community. For example, the DMR-MARC network would fight you off with all possible measures when you try to connect some experimental equipment and not the Motorola standard equipment their employer sells.

I want to connect a SvxLink repeater with HRI-200 module to the wires-x network. We have to use The HRI-200 interface because this is a yaesu policy requirement, accordingly isn't possible replace it with a software application. I don't know the protocoll specification but Yaesu has published Fusion specification. 73 IW0RED

Ok, I understand. Good luck with that!

It would probably be possible to implement but since the protocol that the HRI-200 is using is unknown there will be a lot of work required to implement it. Since I do not own one of these boxes myself I have no particular interest in putting in all that time that is required to make it work. I would need to purchase a box and try to find out how to interface with it.

Also, I have a philosphy with SvxLink that as little hardware as possible should be required for a system installation. Bying a box that do something that can be implemented in software go againt that philosophy. However, if Yaesu could be convinced to publish the HRI-200 protocols (both to PC and repeater) that could be the easy way out, not having to implement the WIRES-X protocol, which of course is undocumented as well I guess.

So, no. It is not likely that this will be implemented by me but if you can find a developer that know C++ and is willing to spend some time on the problem, it's probably possible to write a module that either interface directly to the WIREX-X system (preferred) or use the HRI-200 to interface to the WIRES-X system.

Thanks for your answer. I'll try...
