Charge/discharge with power on/off #6

Hi again,

So I checked the updated version on/off switch and it works perfectly. One thing I think will be very useful is to allow charging, when the discharge is switched off. That will allow to charge the vehicle, with all other parts switched off. Also, I wanted to check with you if it is safe to charge the vehicle with a connected laptop charger, when the bms is switched on, without disconnecting the ESC and motor? Please let me know. Aside from that, the app works very well.

  1. It is my case too. I need to switch off the output leaving charging port on. I'll implement an config element to leave the charging port on while the battery is off.

It will come with next release.

  1. Yes, i charge all my equipment (laptop too) while charging the batts from solar. if it is safe - it depends only from your charger. the most important thing is to make sure, your charger accepts the whole voltage range of your charger. for example, if your charger accepts strict 12v on input, it should be not used in car - the voltage can goes up to 14.8V.

I have implemented this setting param as described before. You should get tomorrow beta version (1.0.7) over test flight. let me know if it works for you too.

Hi Lukas,

I am already amongst Beta testers, just updated the app, will test tonight. I opened the app page in the AppStore and pressed 5 stars, but it just sends me down to "Ratins & Reviews" section, where it says that "This app hasn't received enough ratings or reviews to display a summary". Could it be caused by the fact that I haven't purchased the app? The Xiaoxiang BMS seller told me not to purchase it, as they will send me a free download link, since I already bought the BMS.

About the laptop charger, sorry for confusion. I use a 36v charger, since my battery has 10 Li-Ion cells, it fits the capacity. Just was wondering if it's safe to charge, while the discharge is allowed. Just built the vehicle very recently and didn't have a chance to deplete the battery from the first charge. :)

I will rate and review the app once I have the full app though. You are doing a great work - very simple design and very informative interface! Looking forward to future upgrades.

One more thing, do you think it's safe to use this switch solely, with no other switches? Seems like a very convenient option to me atm, but I'm not entirely sure about the durability of this switch.
