"Display map pins for quest givers" shows quests for unknown professions. #29

If the option "Display map pins for quest givers" is enabled this addon will show map pins on the map for quests that are for professions that are not known for the current character (tested for alliance lvl120 in boralus and other BFA zones). I tried every possible option to hide map pins for quests from professions that are not known on the current character but nothing worked.

Sadly this makes maps flooded with map pins for quests from professions that are not known by the current character. Please implement an option that will hide map pins for unknown profession quests on the map.

The quests that are marked for professions you do not know should not show up as map pins. You should be able to see this in the Wholly quest panel where they would be classified as unobtainable. If you could indicate specific quests that you see as a problem I should be able to determine whether they are marked properly.

Hey thank you very much for replying. Well the profession quests that for me are not marked as unobtainable were pretty much all of them in city Boralus (about 20 quests or more) as well as some various quests in Drustvar for alchemy and mining (my char is skinning LW). Boralus city most northern sector (where profession trainers are) had at least 20 various golden exclamation marks for non-learned professions and the only way to hide them for me was to disable "Display map pins for quest givers". Once i get home i can write down which ones i am seeing marked with map pins that i should not be seeing so hopefully that will help.

What I would like to do is to find some specific quests that are causing you problems so I can check Grail's data. When Grail has the right data Wholly will show the proper pins and entries in its quest log. I know there are a lot of world quests that ask to turn in items that may not be related to your profession, but those are not profession-specific. One could get those items from the auction house, etc. I see those types of quests in Boralus. If you can give me the specific names of some of the problematic quests you are seeing (including their questId which can be seen in the Wholly quest panel), that would be quite helpful for me to track things down. Thanks.

The following map pins for quests (most are professions, some are not) are not applicable to my current character but are still shown on the map:

boralus (city): an unusual mentor 51398 disgustinly damp flower 48758 more anchor pods 51361 pollen punching 48755 ghost busting 48757 gathering mementos 48769 frigid boon 48763 breaking the food chain 48757 seeking more knowledge 51016 back to franklin 51380 ritualistic preparations 51568 a need for coal 48752 spiderphobia 48761 dont pick a fight 48764 brined justice 48768 three sheets to the wind 48770 casting the first stone 50121 a possible solution 50125 ocular extracts 50122 changing the scenery 50124 tearing at the seams 55177 if the shoe fits 53866 a stitch in time 53807 seam stress 55214 a friend in needle 53805 the shrounded coin 45563 paint bottle electric blue the wrath of grapes 51889

drustvar: a deathly draught 50126 a more challenging career 52050 a recipe for success 50129 a stone's throw 50127 cant teach on an empty stomach 51376 chemically compounded 50128 drop it! 54732 her dog days are over 55136 make it wright 54733 summons from dorian 54734

tiragarde sound: team carry 54727 the bleak hills 54729 this lumber is haunted 54728

Thank you very much for looking into this issue. Wholly quests would be easier to search through if there was a search box of some sort :)

On Wholly's Quest Log upper left section, scroll down, there's a search function there. A search box appears at the top of the log's pane - it's sometimes obscured until you move the log down a bit. It's limited by being an exact search, no partials.
