Needed: obsolete media field guide #10

There are ample tools and resources out there to help archivists and conservators identify obsolete analog audiovisual formats, but there don't seem to be very good guides for identifying obsolete born-digital formats. Let's make one! Here's a running list of some initial ideas…

The Museum of Obsolete Media might also be useful as a cross reference, especially for non-computer related media types.

Tape has a lot of legacy formats, would be helpful to include tapes and tape drives.
