won't stay connected in background

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. connect to an ssh server
2. press the home button
3. go back into connectbot

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
expected output: still connected to server
actual output: not connected to server

What version of the product are you using (you can see this by using Menu
-> About in the Host List)?
1.6.2 (r480 2010.02.12)
(latest version in android market)

What type of system are you trying to connect to?
openssh on freebsd

when i was having this problem, i had one unread text message... after i read 
the text message, connectbot started working fine. hopefully that helps to 
figure out what caused this.

Try using the version from connectbot.org  It changed the way that connections 
persisted.
