cannot use dpad for coping text

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Connect to a server with connectbot
2. Tap the menu button and select "Copy from the menu"
3. Try to use the dpad up and down keys to select text

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Using the dpad keys should select the tekst, but instead the up and down keys 
are passed to the terminal.

What version of the product are you using (you can see this by using Menu
-> About in the Host List)?
1.7.0 (updated at 02.09.2010)

What type of system are you trying to connect to?

If you are able to connect, what is the output of "echo $TERM", "uname -a",
and any other relevant information on the host?

Please provide any additional information below.
This happened after the last update. And since i do a lot of copy-paste 
operations in connectbot, and the touch version of selecting text is not so 
handy as dpad, thi bug makes connectbot practically useless to me.
(otherwise, a great piece of software)
