CLIQ 2.1 keyboard mapping incorrect #391

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Connect to any SSH host
2. Hold down ALT and type "QWERTY"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
These should map to "123456" respectively, but I get "*123+%"

What version of the product are you using (you can see this by using Menu
-> About in the Host List)?
ConnectBot-git-2010-10-27_21-00-28.apk
Note: there is no "About" in the Menu panel in my build: "Sort by color",
"Manage Pubkeys", "Colors", "Settings", "Help". Neither "Settings" nor "Help"
shows a product version.

What type of system are you trying to connect to?
RedHat 4/5

If you are able to connect, what is the output of "echo $TERM", "uname -a",
and any other relevant information on the host?
$ echo $TERM
screen
$ uname -a
Linux office 2.6.9-89.0.23.ELsmp #1 SMP Fri Mar 5 17:56:21 EST 2010 i686 i686
i386 GNU/Linux

Please provide any additional information below.
The physical keyboard worked as expected on CLIQ 1.6, so the recent update from
Motorola must have changed the keyboard. I've attached a key list.

This is a dupe of 361, but please note that I am running the production release
of Android 2.1, not the beta.
