Newest firmware breaks fn and tab on Desire Z

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install the newest firmware (version 1.72.405.2 with android 2.2.1)
2. run connectbot (or irssi connectbot)
3. pressing fn or tab does not do anything

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
expected to have tab or right output with fn, nothing happens. tab erases the 
whole line like ctrl-u

What version of the product are you using (you can see this by using Menu
-> About in the Host List)?
newest 1.7.1

What type of system are you trying to connect to?
debian lenny

If you are able to connect, what is the output of "echo $TERM", "uname -a",
and any other relevant information on the host?

Just normal, this worked before todays firmware update.

Also, right shift does not send tab either. Haven't checked what other keys are 
broken.

How to delete this bug report? It works now, just some weird behaviour after 
firmware update.
