It is the LG standard inverter type 12 And the the error is all the time

Hi! LG B09TS here, I use an angle 1 in LG Thinq app, and receive similar error: SwingModeCharacteristic: Error parsing state Error: Unsupported API value: 1

Phoendor commented 4 years ago

I am not sure but maybe the problem is due to SwingModeCharacteristic being logical like Auto Swing / Static My model can be Auto or switch between different angles which are numbers 1 to 6 My model also has left / right swing in the same way, angles 1 to 5, but it doesn't seem to be the problem here

arp013 commented 4 years ago

I have the api value 6 in the error and my setting in the Thinq app is angle 6, maybe it helps

Phoendor commented 3 years ago

@sman591 hi! Do you have plans to add support for these values? I’d gladly provide any info you need but sadly my programming skills are not that good to help you with the code

sman591 commented 3 years ago

Hey @Phoendor, I do but need to dig into this a bit deeper to support it correctly

Could you provide a copy of the snapshot for your device when this happens?

  1. Turn on "debug" mode for Homebridge (start Homebridge with -D or in the Homebridge UI, go to "Homebridge Settings" and turn on "Homebridge Debug Mode")
  2. Restart Homebridge
  3. Follow the logs and wait for ~60 seconds
  4. Find the line that starts with device response.result.snapshot and copy & paste its contents

We're limited by HomeKit here. I think this might need to be implemented via "tilt angles" in HomeKit, but I'm not sure if this will be compatible with the "heater cooler" accessory that governs the A/C unit generally

I have the same issue

[6/22/2021, 11:55:19 PM] [LgThinqAirConditioner] SwingModeCharacteristic: Warning: Your A/C unit supports variable swing settings, but this is not supported by Homekit. Ignoring desired swing setting.
