boost build failure on CentOS #260

there is a failure when building boost on CentOS 6

Bootstrapping the build engine with toolset gcc... 
Failed to bootstrap the build engine
Consult 'bootstrap.log' for more details

this was on lin-compile2 when building from ~/src/externpro/_bld

however, if I build from /tmp/externpro there are no issues...

so I'm going to chalk this up to something about this system and the mess of SDL IT and DSP sys admins
