externpro official linux platform, dictated by a dockerfile, has been centos7 https://github.com/smanders/externpro/blob/23.03/.devcontainer/compose.pro.yml#L31

we are ditching centos7 for rocky85 (rocky 8.5) https://github.com/smanders/buildpro/issues/23

CentOS Linux 7 will reach end of life (EOL) on June 30, 2024 https://www.redhat.com/en/topics/linux/centos-linux-eol
