output directory needs to be reset

sometimes (especially on Windows?) it appears the output directory needs to be reset in between runs

• the output directory is stored via wxConfig so that subsequent runs "remember" the last output directory location
• the run/execute button does nothing
• going up a directory (..) and then back down into the output directory "resets" and then the run/execute button works as expected
