2 years ago I actually came across this post after figuring out the issue myself but just wanted to say thank you and say that I agree this should be added to the readme. I couldn't figure out why it kept trying to zoom when I change pitch, but it's because the default action in Cura without this extension is to step-zoom. So when pitching, it was also using that step zoom which made it very choppy and difficult to control. If anyone else runs into this issue, simply uncheck this box in the screenshot from the 3dconnxion software (open advanced settings, then click on an open Cura window so that the settings change for Cura)
In the readme you say:
(edit 25/04/20, users report that on Windows you do not need to stop or disable the existing driver when using RawMouse)
But you should also point out that they should uncheck all Navigation options in the 3Dconnexion settings of Cura so the movement is smooth or it will become bumpy.
