API Page Updates #360

Enhancements to the web page for Health Atlas API:

  1. Designed to be consistent with the rest of the website
  2. Update URL (redirect or migrate) to ChicagoHealthAtlas.org domain
  3. Add a brief introduction, benefit, and instruction
  4. Link out to City of Chicago Developer page: http://dev.cityofchicago.org/
  5. Check to see if all the data indicated as available on the pages they originate from is actually downloadable.
  6. Consider re-organizing by Health Indicator because Topic is not clear.

Under number 3 above, I recommend a definition that is looking towards the future of healthcare, especially since APIs in healthcare are now a certified health IT system requirement by the government and API-based interoperability standards that are emerging around EHRs.

I highly recommend using ONC HIT definition instead where they have a tutorial and state accurately how APIs can revolutionize healthcare that should be added to this page:
