Maybe just another nav?

santheo commented 11 years ago

Footer now has a simplified nav and the SCC logo. What else you want in there, @danxoneil?

santheo commented 11 years ago

Use 'go' logo instead (make it smaller) + 'Smart Chicago Collaborative' + t + fb + gh FB Like button

santheo commented 11 years ago

Footer has been updated. I added the Twitter, Facebook & Github links, but no Like button. I think we should either have the FB link or the Like button. I can swap out the link for the button if you want. Let me know.

danxoneil commented 11 years ago

Great stuff.

Why not the Twitter follow button and Facebook Like button, with counts on each? I would rather be aggressive with this-- we've done a lot to build our social network-- should use it.

Also, I like the order. Can you add three words after the GO logo and before the phrase "Smart Chicago" (with the word "Collaborative" deleted?

Here's the word: "Another project by"

The link to the repo will have to be replaced after @cgansen publishes the launch repo

The Twitter & FB widgets take up a lot of horizontal space, so in order to fit them in, I had to move them to a new line. Have a look (staging only):

Does this work?

santheo commented 11 years ago

Just realized we don't really need the nav down at the bottom, so if you prefer the original layout, we can show the logo and say "another project by" on the left, and put the tweet/fb widgets on the right.

danxoneil commented 11 years ago

Yep that works

santheo commented 11 years ago

Good? http://chicagoworksforyou.com/#/

danxoneil commented 11 years ago

Actually, delete the Github logo and yer done. No reason to link to it twice.

santheo commented 11 years ago

Okay. Those text links are pretty hidden. Do you want me to make them more obvious? Different color, underline, etc.

danxoneil commented 11 years ago

Yes please make more obvious. Underline? Does that compete w/ any other style?

santheo commented 11 years ago

How's this?
