Description

This is the issue for all engagement vertical meeting agendas and notes. This replaces prior agenda issues. It will also host the currently active action items for easy access here at the top of the root issue. This root agenda should be maintained by project leads and Engagement head.

Notes

For current week, moving to a fully issue ticket pay for right now. Will be done by the end of the day September 26th Issue item 2: Reducing the number of meetings, but not completely getting rid of meetings. Potentially moving to an optional meeting style. Offsetting the meetings between engagement and onboarding/moderation. Potentially have all meetings on the same day for efficiency purposes. Provides people with enough focus time. Compress some meetings and still have regular meetings. Value to have meetings that feel like they move quickly and accomplish things. Have a not optional meeting that is the engagement vertical meeting. Make sure that this option is clearly focused. Encourage guiding things to think about when presenting materials in meetings.

Umar is working on leading the reading group part 2. Summary of the book parts are going up on the forum soon. Umar is going to be unavailable 2 weeks after that.

Renee is finalizing onboarding project plan #103 session times, also working on some fundraising elements. Need to make decisions about customer relationship software.

Tania is working on closing out some tickets. Coordinating with Brian on the new ticketing tool in Discord and how might that be working with current/future onboarding. Header comment is done and ready for another one.

Yesh is working on build the structure of connecting GitHub epics and bring it down to bounties and concrete tasks. Also trying to work on some automations and the GTM process.

Gloria is working on Discord 5 and reach out to others to engage with posts and will get some assigned threads to work on. Issue tickets that reflect process fully.

Nancy is going to be working on survey analysis plan and then also some moderation work as well. Will need issues.

Angel is going to develop the routines document #175 and how to socialize the community routines and working on 2 projects. One is #153

Feedback on Mercle Might need initial description of those drop down menus. Maybe adding (in the future) looking for employment as a filter? We would then have to consider if that goes through this or if we pick them up in a different process.

• What describes you the best? is probably not great language. What you are looking for might be a better header and just lead question. Make sure to keep this simple.
• Participate in events/reading groups/quests
• How to contribute doesn't speak to discovery much. Connect with our socials/interact with our socials
• Community path needs a next thing to do after Welcome to SCRF
• Community path takes us to a how to contribute language category, whereas there already is a contributor category
• Potentially highlight categories/mirror the forum a little through the Mercle flow instead of just the top 4 recent articles
• How are we picking the recent articles is important to discuss. Could there be a prompt before this that shows the top post in each category?
• What about the article could be the off ramp of onboarding
• Have a separate Skills section and an interest section for the "roles"
• Can we gather up their social media and user names more?
• Instead of the buddy having to answer basic how to use our tools, we should have some documentation and videos. Project proposals, for example
• What would we like the buddy to do? A person to have immediate questions. How to "SCRF" a little more instead of signing up for the systems itself. Humanize. What do we want people to do? Buddy profile is also some social/fun information about their journey at SCRF so far. What skills does your buddy have. Fun facts. Etc. Profile information. Potentially something to get discovery support from. Could we sort by common language/interests. Establish what expectations are at SCRF? Could there be multiple buddies that the user could connect with? Or buddy teams? This might need scaling eventually. Maybe buddies also become a skilled group that joins a coordinape circle. Concern is that a person would interact with just their buddy instead of their community.
• Make immediate links to start contributing without having to finish the whole process if a person is just really ready to go and be as frictionless as possible.
• Community indicators we would potentially want to have.
• Really lowkey quiz or achievable at the end for reward/reputation/access

Angel- SCRF Spotlight #153 also doing some routine work with getting information presented to the community (find project and link). Needs for support and make sure to update the tickets Renee - Encouraging the citizenship badge and connecting to the audience. Want to pilot what that can do with reputation systems. If people have questions, make sure to funnel them to the forum post. Check out the test server. Scoping out a research initiative. Fundraising also. Umar - Getting some posts up on the forum. reading group and peer review project. Gloria - Discord 5 (2 of them) Discussion summaries. Need to make sure to declare where those are being claimed. Breadth vs. Depth An overview discussion about target audience and how do we provide value for the depth that we would want. Impacting onboarding and moderation, so let's discuss strategy. Maybe we can do some more depth by consolidating. Create some events around an area of knowledge we would like to develop some knowledge around

• What are onboarding must have? Human contact must be somewhere. Information capture for identification. Checklist things from the past. How did people find us? Can we do a longer term process that lasts like 90 days (quest model makes the most sense). Gives push notifications, etc. Project Updates
• @0xAngle is working/finalizing the announcements funnel and increase communication throughout the organization. Looking for threads and themes for the coffee house. What are some backlog themes for us to discuss.
• @okoba working on a click tracking discord 5 set of links. Summary discussion and general moderation
• @ttaloute Finishing up the review survey for community feedback for the year and performance review content. Moderation. and then updating the go to market Onboarding visual probably needs updating
• Bounties and projects need to have more examples and specific content. @ttaloute is going to update.

Quick reminder on billing for Dec 19 Reminder to contribute to the end of year status. Project Updates

• Need to update the Mercle implementation. In the assessment stage.
• Potential research exits and peer review GTM Board -Posts need to be updated. Brian has a potential solution. -Is there a workflow that exists for how this works. @Yesh-2691 and @ttaloute are going to meet to work on a workflow to help the moderation team move forward with content. The vision will be is that the board can be used similarly by both bounty and non-bounty people. Needs some documentation. Peer Review The pilot is completed. For further trials, there needs to be something. @ufkhan97 and @zubepaul will talk a little more here. Potentially have a writer-cohort that does some responses to TalentDAO. What would it take to get this taken care of. TalentDAO is interested in having a open peer review on the SCRF forum. Need to have a breakout session going on what these things are going to look like. Not done by Dec 19 Announcement Funnel @SirAh0 needs to create the template? Follow up and find out Coffee House rebrand feedback Did an overview of the process we are thinking through. There are people who prefer calls/forum posts. Reaching specifically researchers might not see all of the opportunities in discord. Try to get this into the newsletter. SCRF Spotlight
• There is a template, a place to live on GitHub and a way to. Need to start getting these pulled together and published. Engagement team visibility We should probably be there. What's the cadence? We are going to trial once a week for the next two weeks.
