some basemaps don't show in examples on high resolution screens #374

World Schematic and World image (served from demis.nl) will not show with large 
width and height. If the same browser window size is smaller the maps show up.

Is there a maximum size for the maps?

Is it a WMS layer? Many WMS's have limitations as to the maximum image size 
they can serve, either:

a) Explicit
b) Implicit - i.e. a maximum amount of RAM that can be used for generation of 
an image which restricts the size of the image that can be returned. I know 
GeoServer does this.

You're unlikely to have this problem with TMS/WMTS.

Yes, these are all WMS layers. Like Jonathan indicates most if not all WMS have 
some limit. But for the examples we needed some free and always available WMSs. 
I'll keep this issue open to get some alternatives, as for first-time users it 
looks like the app is not working.
