This fixes issues #236 and #234.
Additionally, I went through the code and used the feedback from: https://www.codefactor.io/repository/github/smash-transport/sparkx
I fixed all the whitespace and backslash occurrences mentioned there in all the files. This should hopefully improve the code quality there.
