Links behave unexpected #374

When I hold down the command key and click a link, then it normally gets opened in a new tab in the background. When I click a link with the right mouse button, a context menu opens. In both cases the original page stays the same and should not change to the link’s referred location.

Sadly it does, when I visit smashingmagazine.com the first time in a new browser session or after having it’s cookie deleted. Then the opened page changes after a link click despite pressed command key or right click. According to the net console the moment I click the link then files of consent.cookiebot.com try to get loaded but are blocked as third party content.

It’s not a big deal but slightly annoying when revisiting your website and checking new articles on https://www.smashingmagazine.com/articles/

Update 2019-05-01: Maybe relevant → https://remysharp.com/2019/04/04/how-i-failed-the-a#knowing-better-than-the-browser – there the onClick event ignored pressed keys, too.
