This workshop covers the basics of image analysis using Python. It is geared toward those with low-to-moderate programming experience, but beginners should be able to follow along with the provided tutorial code. Students will learn how to interactively explore their image data with a Jupyter Notebook. The workshop will cover image file management, basic processing such as rescaling and filtering, and basic analytical techniques such as image segmentation and fluorescence colocalization.
We'll meet in the Holt Conference Room at 1:30pm on Thursday, January 31st and from 9am to 4:30pm on Friday, February 1st. Visitors should bring photo ID and meet at the visitor entrance by 12:30pm on Thursday.
