This workshop covers the basics of image analysis using Python for those with low-to-moderate programming experience. Students will learn how to interactively explore their image data with a Jupyter Notebook. The workshop will cover image file management, basic processing such as rescaling and filtering, and basic analytical techniques such as image segmentation and fluorescence colocalization.
Prerequisites: Plotting and Programming in Python or competency in Python gained otherwise. Remote participation won't be supported, so please plan to be physically present.
We'll meet in the Breezeway Bioinformatics Training Room at 1:30pm on Thursday, March 28th and from 9am to 4:30pm on Friday, March 29th. Visitors should bring photo ID and meet at the visitor entrance by 12:30pm on Thursday.
