Change settings to new format

For which Kodi versions does this apply for? Is it for Nexus+ only?

fixed. Kodi 19 Matrix (and up) can use the new setting format.

Sorry, I've cleaned up the branches and that closed the PR. We can leave it this way and I merge it manually or you can re-open a new PR. Whatever you like. Changes are looking good for me, I just didn't have the time to merge and test it yet due to other changes I'm working on. I can look into it later. :)
