Error while trying play videos

Hello, i had installed last version of the addon but there’s no more playable videos and I don’t know why.

I have checked the logs and it seems that problem comes from InputStream.

Yeah the beta-api's are a moving target, they can break at any time. So far it was possible to either fetch DRM or non DRM streams, where I've used the non DRM ones. In your browser it is already using the DRM ones and for a while so.

I'm trying to switch to the DRM streams but somehow there is a detail somewhere I'm missing to make it work. On top of that, Crunchyroll has implemented some kind of stream limiter which is now in effect when I'm using the new api endpoints - it stops me from testing changes fast, as it will trigger the limit and I have to wait for it to recover. sighs

That's why we can't have nice things, I guess. :)

A workaround that worked for was to replace url = api_data["streams"]["adaptive_hls"] with url = api_data["streams"]["vo_adaptive_hls"] on videostream.py, but only works with softsubs disabled in the addon settings.

The old one was calling pl.crunchyroll.com domain, which is giving 403, while the vo one is using the v.vrv.co and working.

Anyone who has a clue about inputstream ? I think I have set up everything correctly, but it throws a 401 when fetching the manifest. If I do that in the browser and set the headers accordingly to how I do it in the app, it just works. I'm lacking quite some sleep today, so probably it's just a minor thing somewhere, but I can't figure it out (yet).

Thank you for the notice, it indeed was broken as there were some API changes to that as well. I didn't test that when I've fixed the video playback. It's fixed now in all three staging branches.

The current fix in nexus-staging seems to work fine on my LibreELEC 11.6. Maybe it takes 2–3 seconds longer to start the episode compared to 4 days ago, and I didn't test the watch list because I go "Main menu -> Anime -> Latest Update -> Anime I want to watch".

To be fair though, if crunchy goes the Amazon way with DRM, excluding Linux based OS that don't have Widevine L1, then I guess they don't want my money in the future. Let's just all hope they don't go that way.

Thank you for the notice, it indeed was broken as there were some API changes to that as well. I didn't test that when I've fixed the video playback. It's fixed now in all three staging branches.
