Apple HomeKit freezes when this plugin is loaded. #14

Hello, SMKA.

Thanks for all your efforts in maintaining this plugin.

I’ve noticed (and believe that some other folks have experienced similar issues) that the HomeKit freezes sporadically when this plugin is loaded and is interfacing with an SP device. Would it be possible to investigate the root cause? May be the polling time as one person suggested? (From the code, it seems like you’re pulling every 1000ms).

Same problem here, had to disable the plugin to keep homebridge up and running good. Not sure why, maybe with homekit and iOS 11?

Maybe it’s because I added the 2 sp and then unplugged them? I had no use for them right now... I should try to keep them plugged in anyways and see if it all works fine

Ditto. I'm going to run a second instance of homebridge, dedicated to broad link SPs. This way if it "freezes", my other homebridge-driven plugins won't get impacted... Until the author comes up with a fix.

I can say that for the last few hours everything is working fine when I leave the sp’s plugged in. Maybe the bug raises when you configure an sp in the json but leave it unplugged.

Same freeze here, sporadically...
