I am trying to get home consumption information in real-time to automatize water heating with solar production without taking energy from the grid.
I made it work by using the Goodwee integration in home assistant, but the power consumption is only updated ~once per minute. This means that if we heat water, because we have an overproduction, and we turn on another device (induction kitchen), there is ~one minute where we are using a lot of power until goodwe updates the value.
I know one minute does not make that much of a difference in cost, but I still wonder if there is any way to get data from the homekit with more frequency, like forcing the device to send more messages to SEMS portal but only delivering one per minute to their servers and reading the rest with your software.
I do not have a lot of experience in this field, so please forgive me in advance if my question is out of place. I am absolutely impressed with this project and I really enjoyed the explanation on how you got it to work.
