Can't install on Steam Deck desktop mode (Linux-SteamOS) on either regular or purple variations I get this error code which links me to this git page: "Cannot install 'Skull Splashscreen' because it points to a web page. Click here"

What version of KDE is Steam Deck on?

Because of the way I have created this repo you may need to download it either from pling or here until I have time to look into it.

Gotcha,Unfortunately I don’t know what Pling is but I’ll try and look for it. Steam deck is very limited with Linux stuff unfortunately. Also I did try and download from your GitHub but the Splash customization options don’t let you install a local file. Thanks for looking into this regardless, Roland DuBoisiCloudOn Mar 18, 2024, at 12:21 AM, Smokey @.***> wrote: Because of the way I have created this repo you may need to download it either from pling or here until I have time to look into it.

Some easy to follow instructions to install.

  1. Download and extract the file
  2. In the file explorer make sure that hidden files are enabled
  3. Copy the extracted folder and contents to /home/USERNAME/.local/share/plasma/look-and-feel
  4. It should then be available in your settings
