Yes.
is it true that SMPlayer uses mpv 0.37 on Windows 7?
Unfortunately, it appears that 0.37 isn't compatible with Win 7.
The mpv developers decided to stop supporting Windows 7, so now Windows 8 is required. But you can still use the 32 bit package, it contains an old version of mpv.
Thanks, is there any sort of performance difference between 32 and 64 bit?
Also' I haven't tried yet, but what if I use the latest version of the player, but replaced the MPV folder with the folder from an older version, would that work?
Yes, you can replace mpv with another version.
I'll give it a try, I'll move the folder over to the new version.
I downloaded the SMplayer Version 23.12.0.10266 (using it as portable, not installed). I replaced the MPV folder, from an older version, but got the same error message as one would get if running the newer version of MPV. Am I missing something? Thanks.
Have you checked if the path to mpv.exe is correct?
Does this still work with Windows 7?
Thanks.
