Only Title Page Shows When DVD Starts #980

When I start my DVD using the File/DVD option,, the title Page of the DVD comes up showing options to click on (eg. language of the subtitles) but SMPlayer doesn't recognize the mouse click on the appropriate option snd doesn't start the video. Ie. I am stuck on the title page and cannot start the actual video no matter what I do.

Can anyone help please?

SMPlayer Version: 23.12.0 (revision 10207) (64-bit)

Select a title in the menu Browse -> Title.

I tried Browse->Title and it shows no options under angle. Chapter shows 1 and Bookmarks show 00:00:00 but both take me back to title page.

I still can’t start the actual video.

I would like to select English Subtitles off of the starting page and then start the video.

Can you help further?

I haven't used DVDs in a long time (my computer doesn't even have a DVD drive anymore), so it's possible that this functionality is broken.

Try selecting mplayer as multimedia engine in the preferences and see it works that way.
