I looked in the logs to see what caused the error and found this:

[Sat May 04 17:50:39.520469 2024] [:error] [pid 717537:tid 123290332202752] [remote 50.64.20.10:46944] [client 50.64.20.10] ModSecurity: Access denied with code 418 (phase 2). Operator GE matched 7 at TX:anomaly_score. [file "/etc/modsecurity/mod_sec3_CRS/REQUEST-949-BLOCKING-EVALUATION.conf"] [line "93"] [id "949110"] [msg "Inbound Anomaly Score Exceeded (Total Score: 15)"] [severity "CRITICAL"] [ver "OWASP_CRS/3.3.2"] [tag "application-multi"] [tag "language-multi"] [tag "platform-multi"] [tag "attack-generic"] [hostname "labs.publicsphereproject.org"] [uri "/ps/patterneditor.php"] [unique_id "ZjbX3@oEeCdXhgXoIyvmcQAAMx8"], referer: https://labs.publicsphereproject.org/ps/patterneditor.php

mod_security is an optional module for Apache httpd, which is the web server that Dreamhost runs. I have zero experience with it and don't have time to climb the learning curve ATM. Therefore, I counsel that you send me the value that you had planned to use for the brief description for that pattern and I'll add it using mysql on the command line. Later, we can loop back to figure out what the issue is. Therefore, I am leaving this issue open.

Yes, don't worry about that! But, where in the database are these entries? I can add them! You don't have time for them. If there's something tricky, let me know.

On the other hand, this came up:

Lou Scheffer contributed the following comment: “If you count Supreme Court opinions as joint research, then President Taft has a finite Erdös number. I personally think Supreme Court opinions should count. It only reaches the supreme court if the matter in question is not settled, so it’s research. And it’s definitely joint research, since they argue and they write up the results in a publically available joint publication. Whether they concur or dissent is irrelevant, I think, since they are still doing joint research on the same problem, with the same publication. So here is at least one chain leading to the Supreme Court. ... Without detailed checking, this probably leads to the earliest born justice, William Cushing, born March 1, 1732, having a finite Erdös number. Since joint publications were otherwise uncommon at that time, he is the oldest person I’ve seen suggested for this.”

How can somebody who died years before Erdös have an Erodös number? I guess it counts backwards too?

The process of manually adding a value to an element in the database is complicated, and it would take longer for me to explain it than to do it. On the upside, then you'd know how to do it, so we can work through it in a zoom session if you want.

OAN, when you send an email to a github issue, the body of that email becomes part of the issue history. Let's please not clutter that history with content unrelated to the issue?
