What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. tried to use the built in rsbt to alphabetize my springboard
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
my normal iPhone springboard. Instead I get a blank screen that looks like
an iPod touch springboard. Says iPod in upper left corner, battery in
upper right, the rest blank

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.1.1 on 1.1.1

Please provide any additional information below.
Trying to restore my phone now...

Same thing happened to me.
I am able to ssh into my phone, but now only apple installed apps and finder
seem to work.
I can't start customize or any other native apps, and I don't want to have to
restore

it also seems to not allow me to write except in non jail areas.
Can't write in frameworks or applications.
I can ssh in. Is there a file I can edit so my iphone knows its a phone again.

Also springboard shows no icons at all.
Says ipod in upper left.
No longer shows AT&T (although phone works).
How can I manually fix these settings even without a new customize app.

Same problem as everyone else. Ended up restoring iPhone back to 1.0.2 and
re-jailbreaking with a new installation. Re-downloaded customize so
installer.app
will notify me if a new version comes out but will not be using it till then.

Please keep up the great work tho!

I fixed this problem by using the winSCP to get into the
iPhone directories and replacing the M68AP.plist file (which keeps the
application icon order)under /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/
with a default version of it.

this is apparently a wide spread problem. And a major problem if you need to do
a full restore. Lame. Come
on can we get a fix for this?
