"system" video setting issue (including general video setting ideas for improvement) #94

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Select a game that doesn't load on the video setting used by system menu
when loading from wiiflow.
2. In wiiflow try to load that game and make sure "system" video setting is
selected.

What is the expected output? What happend instead?
I expect wiiflow to use the same video setting as the wii's system menu. My
system menu setting is set on progressive.

I tested this with a game that fails to load on "progressive" setting. This
game shouldn't load on "system" setting either but it does. It otherwise only
works on PAL 50/60. (btw WiiFit Plus PAL)

What version of the product are you using? Which d2x cIOS version?
r506 d2x v8 56/57

Please provide any additional information below.
Feature improvement/wishlist
In wiiflow global video settings:
"default" option should be removed.
"system menu" (checks wii system menu video setting) should replace the
"system" setting.
e.g global video settings = System Menu, PAL50, PAL60, NTSC, Progressive, Auto.
Then in the individual game video settings, replace "default" with
"global[System Menu, NTSC, etc]" (same video setting as set in wiiflow global
settings).
e.g game video settings = global[], PAL50, PAL60, NTSC, Progressive and Auto.
Thank you so much for wiiflow mod improvements really really impressed with
what you are doing.

LOL you are right, thats some really funny issue, it actually runs fine with
the system setting! I'm thinking about to replace the default setting with
auto, this default is a bit fishy.
