New Super Mario Bros is BCA protected. If using cIOSrev17 is sufficient, i do
not
know. If it's not, then the game needs to be patched in order to be played in
SoftChip. And don't use cIOSrev15 or 16, these 2 are considered broken.

Getting an error directly on booting SoftChip has 2 main reasons:
- The IOS SoftChip wants to use is broken, this mostly happens if SoftChip is
set to
use IOS249, but IOS249 was replaced with a stub by a system update
- SoftChip was compiled with a broken libogc. At some revision the code to load
IOS
was changed in libogc and that code doesn't work 100% of the time. In this case
try
this compiled version:

Also deleting the config file is worth a try.
