R304 - Change IOS in Game menu causes crash #454

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Using Wiiflow 2.2 R304 - 222 Version
2. Select Game (in this case Prince of Persia Sands of Time)
3. Select Options and try to change IOS to a different version (240)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect the IOS to change to the different value

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Running on wiiflow 2.2 R304 - 222 version. Running on Wii firmware 4.1E with
Hermes 222 v4 36 merged with 37. Single FAT32 partition and running wiiflow
from hard drive. CHRIISTMAS theme.

Please provide any additional information below.
If I edit the cfg file manually on my pc using notepad, I can change the IOS to
249 and it loads the game fine.

Hi there,
Sorry if I sound stupid but I'm not sure what you mean? R304 is the first
version I've ever tried... did I install it incorrectly (downloaded the full
zip pack and then downloaded the 222-R304 version seperately and added to the
apps\wiiflow directory)?
Thanks - Mick.

if you had a fresh install then the only other possible solution I can think of
is that you have a game with a bad scrub on it, does it do this on all your alt
dol games or just 1?

All fixed now - took a latest copy of the source, modified the makefile to use
IOS 222 and recompiled. Changing IOS in settings now works and looks like the
2nd wiimote issue (which was causing my other version to crash) seems to be
fixed too. Thanks a lot for your help.

LOL, first, you dont need to modify anything to compile for 222. You just type
"make ios=222"
Second, the latest versions of the source you got is r304.

BS.

Thanks for the advice on the make. No idea why it works now then. The only
other thing I can think of is when playing around with everything at one stage
it crashed and the wiiflow.ini file got corrupted so I deleted it and it
regenerated a new one at startup... But anyway it's working perfectly now so
I'm very happy ;-)

Thanks again,
Mick.
