No such thing as "Allow restricted settings" #18

OS: LineageOS 20 (android 13).

The installation instruction has this:

  1. Settings => Notifications => Device & app notifications => Android Auto => Check Allow notification access => Ok (Settings will still be restricted!)
  2. Settings => Apps => See all apps => Android Auto => Triple dot icon => Allow restricted settings
  3. Settings => Notifications => Device & app notifications => Android Auto => Check Allow notification access => Allow

I don't understand what's the difference between 6 and 8. In my options I can just allow access. Also there's no "Allow restricted settings" as described in point 7.

Fortunately just enabling notification access works for me.

Just enabling notification access works for me too (AOSP custom ROM), I was thinking about the same thing. Maybe these are steps you'd have to perform on some OEM customized ROM's.
