This can be done rather quickly using our Neo4J endpoint. A question to ask: Would the user specify two entities upfront? Or on the view page for one see the second and click a "see related documents" type of button.
I am not sure. When the thought is likely to occur is when the user is looking at at the list of related CPF entities, or looking at the directed graph. More likely the former, I would think.
This would be a good candidate for our redesigned HRT page, I think. If we can display the list of relations in a slightly more organized manner, we should be able to better add "How are they connected?" links.
Yes, agree. This will be a very popular feature, I predict.
One of the questions I am frequently asked is if SNAC can show me the archival resources that document the relation between two CPF entities, associated or correspondent. Given the way SNAC was assembled, one of the two (or possibly both but at least one) will be the "creator of" an archival resource (typically a collection (or fonds)) described in a finding aid. To be able to quickly identify this intersection would be very useful to researchers. It could be done with with text or graphically, or both. Also, it would be useful to see when CPF entities co-occur in a particular archival resource (description) even if neither is the creator of the resource.
