I know it is not ideal, it does not make the whole page to have a background. However, the assumption is that this page will be removed and this is the easiest without any side effects (e.g. using :global(body) has quite a few)
This makes testing new components and verifying them a bit easier as we can now see if the background is transparent where it should be.
