OBS Virtual Camera output doesn't render properly in Skype #133

To reproduce:

  1. Install v4l2loopback-dkms
  2. Modprobe it according to the instructions in the README in this repo
  3. Start OBS and click "Start Virtual Camera"
  4. Start Skype
  5. In Audio and Video settings, select the virtual camera
  6. The Skype camera preview window shows weird graphical corruption instead of the OBS output
  7. Close Skype
  8. Open the Virtual camera with mpv: mpv av://v4l2:/dev/video10 and see the virtual camera output as expected. Close it.
  9. Open it in Firefox (eg in Discord website) and see that the OBS feed is rendered correctly.

What I see in Skype

I think you need to report this to the Skype team if the virtual camera putout is working correctly in other applications.
