Thanks ymauray and popey for your immediate response. What do I now have to do, to get this to work? A snap refresh and also a new installation did not solve the issue. Has there still something to be done from the developer side? Or does it take some time until it travels to the Ubuntu Studio "repositories"?
"snap connections obs-studio" still does not show JACK.
Thank you very much for your help!
This issue seems to be not resolved:

I hope this helps you guys out a little.
Opened new issue #66 as this is closed
I seem to have the same issue, in the message window in qjackctl there is not even a mention of OBS trying to connect so it really is out of touch with jack.
I really prefer the snap version as it can do nvenc and keeps up to date, with the default repo it will not be kept fresh and last time I tried the ppa from their own sites it did not do nvenc.

Hello,
I am on Ubuntu Studio. As the obs-studio in the APT repositories does not work with NVENC, I installed the snap version. NVENC now works well, however if I add a “JACK input client source” it won’t show up in the CARLA patchbay nor in the QJackCt connections. The window only says “No properties available”.
I am currently using the 21.0.2 release of OBS-Studio (installed using “–candidate”) but I does not work with the most current version either.
What I would like to do, is to add the output of a program (available in CARLA) to my obs-studio session.
I hope someone can come up with a suggestion.
Thank you very much!
PS I posted this also here, and user ogra mentions that it could be due to a lack of a jack1 interface: https://forum.snapcraft.io/t/obs-studio-jack-input-client-source-not-available/16044
