👋 Thanks for opening your first issue here! If you're reporting a 🐞 bug, please make sure you include steps to reproduce it. We get a lot of issues on this repo, so please be patient and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
i believe I am seeing this issue too. also trying to get a fresh docker install. inspect element seems to show a 302 Found response code for the POST to the /user endpoint which seems a little funky to me considering it does nothing and resets the form and the users table in the DB remains empty after this happens
@wperry1 does the create user UI look weird to you? im seeing a lot of the text replaces with what look like identifiers for the translation/internationalization. not sure if this is related or not tho
i seem to also be having problems with this using the docker tag snipe/snipe-it:v6.0.14
which dockerhub says is 3 months old, which doesnt seem right since i started using snipe in docker (albeit via the linuxserver image that i then transitioned to the official one) just fine less than 3 months ago
Same issue here. I was following this guide: https://github.com/comoser/snipe-it-docker-compose Not official, but seems reasonable enough. Not sure why snipe-it does not simply provide some good composer yml for us uninitiated...

Yes. I see those instead of the labels as well.
Either of you ever figure this out? Trying to run a fresh install using the Docker image and running into this same exact issue. I go to create a user and the page refreshes back to empty fields. I will say, I don't see the odd "create user" UI

It seems the docker version of SnipeIt is just not supported. I was never able to get it working and moved on to other things. It's a shame really. This was for my homelab, but I would have suggested bringing it in at work if it had proved useful.
Hate to throw a wrench here. I'm not using a docker install but I am experiencing the same problem. At first, I thought it might be connected to my mail settings not being fully configured and preventing any email generation. I got those squared away, though, and I'm still getting the page refresh at create user. Did you guys come up with anything else on this or just scrap your projects? ETA: @Aerosyth I'm not getting the weird UI either
I encountered this issue while testing a docker-compose deployment on my local machine. The resolution came down to two items:
1) Be sure to set COOKIE_DOMAIN to match the URL domain you are using. In my case, I had to set it to "localhost" for testing. This fixed the error handling on this form to highlight exactly what I had filled out incorrectly. 2) The error preventing me from creating the user was the currency field. Typing in "USD" ultimately let me move on.
So far, I find that self-hosting your own SnipeIT instance (Docker or otherwise) is not for the faint of heart. There are many environment variables to set, many of them undocumented. My use case involves a lot of security requirements, otherwise, I would likely opt to pay SnipeIT to host it for me.
Debug mode
Describe the bug
When I try to create a user, I get no error but the "Create Admin User" page refreshes with all form fields blanked.

Additional context
This is a fresh docker installed from docker hub, snipe/snipe-it:latest and linked to a mysql:5.6 container for the database. I have deleted all volumes and networks associated with both containers and recreated them but I am still stuck on this page.
I ran into what appears to be this (https://github.com/snipe/snipe-it/issues/12299) permissions issue and changing as mentioned in the issue got me past the first page.
This is the docker compose file I am using to deploy the containers

Edit - Redacted passwords and emails. This is a brand new install so I'll recycle them anyway
