Unable to run backups thorough crontab since upgrading to 6.1.2 #13740

Open donvenco opened 1 year ago

Debug mode

Describe the bug

Before the upgrade to 6.1.2, I was able to run backups on a schedule through crontab 00 17 5 php /var/www/snipeit/artisan snipeit:backup I have not been able to do so since then. I saw something about "php artisan schedule:run" when I execute it I get the following msg: "No scheduled commands are ready to run." How would I go about making sure the default schedule through SnipeIT is activated and running? Need more info a bout it.

Reproduction steps

  1. Executing 00 17 5 php /var/www/snipeit/artisan snipeit:backup through crontab does not produce a backup
  2. ...

Expected behavior

Expected behaviour is to see a backup

We haven't made any changed to the crons or the backup system recently that I can recall. What's the output when you run php artisan snipeit:backup?

donvenco commented 1 year ago

Here is the output I get after running the command: @.:/var/www/snipeit$ php artisan snipeit:backup Starting backup... Dumping database snipeit... Determining files to backup... Zipping 1724 files and directories... Created zip containing 1724 files and directories. Size is 1.61 MB Copying zip to disk named backup... Successfully copied zip to disk named backup. Backup completed! @.:/var/www/snipeit$

However, when I go to /var/www/snipeit/storage/app/backups the backup is not there. I see older backups I have taken but not any new ones. If I sign in to the GUI and Generate a backup it appears in this directory /var/www/snipeit/storage/app/backups
