[Feature Request]: Option to have side menu always open #13826

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

Some people (myself included) have a hard time remembering/differentiating the icons for menu options in the side menu. I always have the menu open via the hamburger menu to read the options.

Describe the solution you'd like

An option for the menu to be default to open, either on a user level, or system wide level.

Describe alternatives you've considered

I looked into creating a browser extension for this, but was not knowledgable to do so.
