Toner aka "Consumable" is currently being checked out to users only so I created faux users named after each printer. Would be very helpful to allow assets to checkout toner.
This would be an amazing feature, being able to check out monitors and keyboards to assets with Serial Numbers!!
Any update, how is this going?

It would make our lives so much easier if we could check out multiple accessory items to one user/location.

+1 I'm seriously looking for this feature. This is reducing our ability to easily utilize this system.

Any update on this? Desperately needed. It is impacting our ability to use the system effectively.
We just started using SnipeIT, this feature would be extremely useful

Absolutely need this feature
We're aware that this is a desired feature. It's on the roadmap, but we have to work through some of the linger LDAP issues first.
I'd love to see this feature, thay way u can checkout keyboards, laptop stands to offices, they don't belong to a person in our company.
We have a need for this feature. If implemented it would be handy to be able to receive a single email for user acceptance of Eula which also lists the quantity of items checked out instead of receiving one per bulk checked out item.
+1 I also need to assign printers to locations and not users, and also consumables to them (or at least the location when the printer is installed). Printers are group printers and not belong to one particular user.
Would love to be able to book accessories, components and consumables out to EITHER assets, users or locations. Currently we are basically creating everything as an Asset, purely for this functionality.
supported, will help alot
Will this feature ever be implemented?
Hi, I would love to see this implemented. We are a construction company and we need it to control safety equipment that are not returnable like Helmets, gloves, etc. But we need it to assign in bulk to the projects supervisors so they can manage it as they see fit. We only care to see how many stuff goes to what location. Thanks a lot. Great Software BTW.
I often checkin/checkout 10 mice/keyboards/headsets at a time to a class. This would be such a useful feature. I'm currently managing all these devices as assets for the bulk options. Thanks so much for creating such a robust platform. Nothing else comes close!
+1 i need this

Hello, any news about this option ?
+1 on this feature as well, keeping track of accessories as assets so that I can bulk checkout.
Its been years... cmon guys
Pull requests are always welcome.
@jmpilloni It’s still a priority, but we have been working on many other features and fixes. Throwing attitude isn’t going to get your issue resolved any faster. Be part of the solution, or be patient.
Sorry didn't wanna annoy u guys. With peace and love :kissing_heart:
Hello guys, yes it would be very great if we can assign consumables to printers and not users. Thanks and good luck.

+1 for checking out in quantities greater than one. Seems like it would be an easy fix.
+1 Assigning accessories to assets (ie. keyboards assigned to computers) makes more sense to me. That, as well as custom fields, is why we end up making almost everything an asset and barely touch the accessory and consumable categories.
+1 - Would love to see the accessories field also show number of assets available left as opposed to just the total quantity. Example: I have 3 monitors, two are checked out to users, I got one remaining. However, if you look at the accessories section, there's Total on hand shown (3), and the min quantity set for alerts. I'd like to see at a glance how many is there left to hand out? If I do set up the alerts, I'll know that we're running low, however if we turn off the alerts, how do I keep track?
@senselessed Not sure what the ask is here? The number available is visible in the list.

First off, thank you for the super quick reply; for some reason I do not see the Available section...I may need to poke around figure out why!
EDIT: Figured it out, thank you!
@senselessed happy to help! Given your context, we should probably default those columns to visible. I’ll have a PR up shortly :)

Definitely wouldn't hurt! Appreciate all the hard work you guys put in!
One slight clarification to this request for context. In the original post, i menant to include the ability to check out components to users along with the ability to check out accessories and consumables to Assets/Users. Would eliminate the need to create the same item under components and Accessories/Consumables.
+1 Need this in a school setting - cables/remotes etc have no owner, rather just a location. 1725 days since it was opened - is there a bounty program or pay to prioritise?
We're self-hosted but happy to put some of our budget towards getting this up the list.
+1 - I would love to see this enhancement made available. Thanks for all of the work that has been done to date
Also interested on having accesories able to Check In/Out to location
+1 for assigning accessories to assets.
Is there a road map when this feature and others will be implemented? Thanks!
Bump
I hope this 5 year old feature request will be implemented soon.

Expected Behavior (or desired behavior if a feature request)
Check In/Check out accessories (Ethernet Cables, power cords etc) to an asset/user/location in bulk. Example: Building a server rack requires more than one Ethernet cable and power cord and should be checked out to the server rack asset.
Actual Behavior
Currently, you can only check out accessories and consumables one at a time, and can only be checked out to a user. This is fine in the case of consumables but accessories should have the option of checking out to an asset at the very least. Must treat cabling and such as components in order to get that functionality.
