[Feature Request] Add scan barcode option to serial filed #9686

I'm using snipe-it on mobile device a lot i think it will be wonderful to be able to have the option to scan barcode of serials directly from the app.

Can you please clarify your use case? Serials should be available via the non-QR barcodes, no?

what im thinking off is this scenario: we need to audit all equipment in the company, we are going to the mission with our smartphones each device in the company has its own manufacturer S\N. instead of typing in the S\N it will be great to have the option to directly scan the S\N barcode from smartphone camera.

A barcode scanner is just another keyboard input. I'm not really even sure how we would implement this.

it would be convenient to scan the barcodes via camera to quickly enter goods instead of entering them manually.
