Compatibility: AlphaESS SMILE5 does not support Modbus over TCP #14

Not an issue, but a note that others may find useful. I asked AlphaESS to enable Modbus over TCP for my SMILE5 and received the reply back from Alpha that

Please note that Smile 5 does not support the Modbus TCP protocol. Thanks.

I will ask them if this is on their pathway, but I thought others should know for future reference.

In my smile 5 ver.1 i have the ''Can'' port and on the menu I have the modbus voice where can i choose the master or slave work modality

SMILE5 hardware version 1 does have Modbus RTU and can be controlled via converter. SMILE5 hardware version 2 does have Modbus TCP.

How does one tell if one has a version 1 or a version 2? My app just reports SMILE5-INV
