Currently reports that python-config/python-dev is missing. Issue is only apparent on some SL6 systems. Also issues with uuid on some SL6 systems.

740732c187257866d11c94bca8f58fd6a09271cf fixes the uuid problem, can you check again and give more details on the error? SL6 now works for me.

This this is no longer a problem - python26-config is checked.
