Here it is https://github.com/adobe-fonts/source-han-sans/raw/release/SuperOTC/SourceHanSans.ttc.zip

Select this deployment format if you want all languages and all weights in a single and easy-to-manage font resource. Changing languages is accomplished by either selecting the font of the desired language or by language-tagging the text. A limited number of apps support language tagging and the corresponding OpenType 'locl' (Localized Forms) GSUB feature, such as Adobe InDesign CC and modern browsers.

By default, FreeType supports the following font formats.

TrueType fonts (TTF) and TrueType collections (TTC) CFF fonts WOFF fonts OpenType fonts (OTF, both TrueType and CFF variants) and OpenType collections (OTC) Type 1 fonts (PFA and PFB) CID-keyed Type 1 fonts SFNT-based bitmap fonts, including color Emoji X11 PCF fonts Windows FNT fonts BDF fonts (including anti-aliased ones) PFR fonts Type 42 fonts (limited support)

Based on the description on its website, I believe FreeType supports OTC fonts. If you can use these fonts in your other programs, I think it's just a problem with the font filter of the font combobox.

LibreOffice works well with OTC fonts. I'll test it latter.

@Explorare I would to like to see if the OTC font is working well in other programs.

Explorare commented 5 years ago

All of the following softwares support OTC and show all the languages and weights correctly.

snowie2000 commented 5 years ago

Thanks. I'll update MacTunner to reflect it.

Wyverald commented 5 years ago

Hi -- is there any update on this? I'm using Source Han Sans as well, and it's correctly recognized in Windows 10 and Chrome. The latest MacType beta (2019.1-beta6) still doesn't seem to support it (the font doesn't show up in the list).

snowie2000 commented 5 years ago

Mactuner hasn’t been updated yet. Sorry.

snowie2000 commented 5 years ago

I’ll add it to the todo list in case I forget it.

Thanks!
