vpn users frequently disconnect and connect again which might change the ip associated with its network adapter. currently that means in order to ensure loa logs works properly, the user needs to manually go into settings, change adapter to any other one, change back to the vpn and restart the app. this PR improves it so the user no longer needs to go into settings nor restart the app.
