Talk about Crossover/Wine/PlayOnLinux #12

There may be cases when there is a need to run Windows apps and programs, for example compatibility with certain MS Office features.

That can sometimes be a huge selling point for people who can mostly switch to open source programs (or just use the same programs on a different OS), but have that one tool that is preventing them moving over... Dual boot is another thing that should be talked about.

Sorry for the late reply, but since the site got a complete over haul: here's a few reasons I'm hesitant on having a section on WINE:

1) I think it's kind of a stop-gap for a shortcoming in Linux and I'd rather keep it simple and talk about what's possible without it or with alternatives. Part of the idea for this site is to present what's possible with FOSS alternatives.

2) I think that WINE has less and less relevance these days as more and more people use their mobile devices or the web to do most things, plus modern versions of apps such as those of Windows 10 don't work with WINE anyway.

3) it's not a perfect solution and I don't want to set up an expectation of success with it.

4) much of the focus for WINE compatibility is on not-that-commonly-used applications or games and this site is intended to be broader than that, i.e. general use
